After 5 Games, Dogs Tied for Top Spot

The Flying Dogs defeated the only remaining undefeated team in the MMSPBL Thursday night to move in to a tie for first place. Erik Hufnagel led the Dogs on the mound pitching a complete game shutout while striking out 10 to counter Titans ace Tyler Klein. Through three appearances and 14 innings, Erik is yet to allow an earned run. The Dogs offence managed 1 run in the 2nd scattering 3 hits in the inning including a leadoff double by Matt Buchholz who would later score on a single by Rob Stup. They added an insurance run in the 7th when Steve Canale led off with a single, moved in to scoring position on a sacrifice bunt by Rob Stup and then scored on an Abe Buckman double.
The Dogs will play next on Tuesday 5/12 at Husky Field at 6:00PM. They will take on the Maryland Outlaws to make up the rainout from 4/30.
