Ropp Pitches Shutout, Homers in Win Over Falcons

Rich Ropp pitched a complete game shutout Thursday night against his former teammates, the Westminster Falcons. In the 5 inning contest shortened by the mercy rule, Ropp also homered and scored 2 runs. The Dogs scored early plating 7 runs in the first inning. All nine of the Flying Dog starters had at least 1 hit on the day and 7 different players scored at least 1 run.
The Flying Dogs will take the weekend off and then return to action on Thursday 5/21 at Husky Field against the Mount Airy Patriots. Game time is 6:00PM.
